What should you include in your winter survival kit?

Winter driving in Washington can be dangerous, especially if your car or truck breaks down and leaves you stranded. That's why it's essential to have a winter survival kit in your vehicle in the event of an emergency. We here at Jefferson Auto are happy to offer these tips on how to assemble one.

Start with items that are going to keep you warm. You want to have a blanket, hat and gloves at a minimum. You might also include boots and hand warmers. You also need gadgets that can help you deal with a prolonged time stuck somewhere. In your kit, you should make sure you have a flashlight, cell phone charger and some kind of multi-tool or utility knife.

If you have room, you also can include things like a tire inflator kit and kitty litter or some other traction material. The key is to include the things you need the most.
